Uncharted Cruises is a new diving liveaboard business. Their boat, Thalassa, is now ready to set sail, offering uncharted exploration and authentic cultural immersion in Indonesia. They engaged us to create a visual design system and digital platform that captures the essence of their unique and adventurous offerings.

The Objective

They needed an elegant, distinctive, and recognizable visual brand identity that inspires exploration of Indonesia’s diverse islands. Their focus is on unique travel experiences showcasing the archipelago’s rich culture, natural beauty, and vibrant communities. This essence guided our creation of their visual identity and website.

Creative Approach

The logomark draws inspiration from the Phinisi boat, a traditional Indonesian vessel symbolizing adventure and the exploration. The design features three sails and waves, two elements that guide the direction of the boat, representing both the spirit of exploration and Uncharted Cruises’ commitment to leading their guests on uncharted journeys safely and professionally.

The overall visual identity of Uncharted Cruises exudes elegance, class, and a blend of ethnic and modern elements. The letter “E” in the design also represents a trident, symbolizing courage, strength, and power, which can be interpreted as a commitment to these values.

Digital Experience

As part of our engagement and a critical piece of brand communication, we built their digital platform, ensuring that Uncharted Cruises’ brand identity remains consistent and cohesive across all digital platforms and touch points.
